Congratulations on Your new blog layout >_< I wish you many many many more Korn concerts in Poland and, of course, first row VIP section to make a movie from JYJ's concert ^_^

I appreciate all the work you've put into your blog's layout - and the comments work again - yaay! ;) It's very impressive! Thank you for both posts on our current topic; I am definitely more familiar with Alan Rickman than with Korn, but I've read both posts with a lot of interest, as they show how really passionate you are about them. Well done!

Since I have said something about an actor, now it's time to talk about a singer. I've chosen Jonathan Davis: The Voice of KoRn, whom I have admired for about 14 years.

I need to admit that my personality is quite pessimistic. Listening to KoRn has helped countless times when I was feeling down. They are one of the bands that I will never stop listening to as they produce music that NEVER lacks quality. They simply stay strong on my bias list.

I can boast about one thing as well. I was honoured to attend a few KoRncerts (as they are called) and even meet Jonathan Davis himself. So let's start with a little bit of history.

The first time I took part in KoRncert was on 13th February 2008 in Torwar, Warsaw. It was an amazing experience as I was lucky enough to stand in the first row. Jon also waved to me from stage so I guess I can add that event to "The Best Days Of My Life" list :) Here's the pic I took during this concert.

The opportunity to meet Jon once again came really quickly as 2 weeks later it turned out that he would have a solo concert "Alone I Play". I got a ticket and waited patiently. Before the concert I had a school trip to Lithuania. When I was in St Peter and Paul's Church I received a message from my sister that she had won a fan meeting ticket for two! You cannot imagine how blessed I was at that time! I exchanged a few words with Jon and got a group photo (I'm the one with red KoRn T-shirt, next to Jonathan :)):

Here's also the video that I recorded as I was in the first row once again :)

Then, there was a KoRncert in Spodek on 27th August 2010. It was an amazing concert, but unfortunately I had sprained my ankle like 2 days before the event so I was not able to jump like others. I don't have any pictures as my sister forgot to send me them... So let's move on to the next one.

The last KoRncert I attended was on my birthday last year. On 1st June 2011 KoRn played in Warsaw, because they took part in Ursynalia party. I enjoyed it very much as it was the first concert in the fresh air and I was able to have fun this time as I didn't have any unfortunate accidents :)

I was a little bit further that time but I still had a great view and not that many people around me :]

I am going to see KoRn once again this year! They will be playing a gig on 15th August in SowiƄski's Park, Warsaw. I can't wait to hear them live once again! :)

I will love you and honor you all the days of my life.

Definetely, I could have imagined that you will write about him. It must be the truth since you mentioned him plenty of times. I like him too, especially in Harry Potter:) He's really a good actor. And he made you start learning English! So you HAVE TO thank him for that:)

I had to think about who I wanted to talk about. I had quite a few charming people who influenced my life greatly. Most of them are a music band members; that is why, I decided to pick an actor. You probably know who it is by now... Yeah, it's Alan Sidney Patrick Rickman.

When the first Harry Potter movie came out, I had already been acquainted with a book. I found myself admiring or even worshipping the character of Severus Snape. However, this innocent feeling turned out to be nothing as I saw Alan playing Snape. It was certainly love at first sight.

Haha, I fell in love the second he appeared on the screen (you can see in the video - Harry sees Severus for the first time - oh, that is one memorable moment).

In the era of Internet, it was not hard to get other films with him (an Internet friend of my brother even sent me a CD with his films. I was truly touched). I've watched 'Die Hard', 'Robin Hood', 'Sense & Sensibility', 'The January Man', 'Quigley Down Under', 'Truly, Madly, Deeply', 'Close My Eyes', 'Closet Land', 'Bob Roberts', 'Mesmer" (which was released only in the UK and I watched it in the Junior High without subtitles as they were nowhere to be found. I think I'll need to re-watch it to understand it actually), 'An Awfully Big Adventure', 'Rasputin', 'Michael Collins', 'The Winter Guest' (he was the director for this one) and many, many more. Nonetheless, my favourite one is 'Truly, Madly, Deeply'. It's not a film that everybody will like as it shows reality only. But I think it made me think a lot about life and death, and how we need to let go of our past at some point. Sounds tragic, doesn't it?

Here's trailer for you. I need to add that I've never ever cried so hard watching a film, so sensitive people should have a great amount of handkerchief

What is so fascinating about this man? Well, everything. He is a great actor. I wish I could see him in a theatre but, unfortunately, I guess this dream will stay unfullfilled. His movement in each and every film shows how he is used to working in the theatre. The second thing that draws attention to him is his infamous voice. Hear it for yourself: Alan reading Shakespeare's 130 Sonnet.

So how can an actor like him affect me in any way? You would be surprised. First of all, it was thanks to him that I've grown to love the English language. I learned his scenes by heart and imitated him. I've had British accent since my Junior High! (however I had to stop using it at some point because my dear TEACHER made fun of me. She had American one and couldn't stand mine. Very teacher-like behaviour). The first letter in English I've ever written was to him. Unfortunately, he had Harry Potter filming then and I received an answer only from his agency. Madame said that I had had many difficulties writing that letter for sure (there were so many mistakes that I was scared myself after reading it some time later) and that is why she would certainly give it to Alan. Maybe I should try writing another one and get an autograph this time :))

Finally, there is one more reason I have this undying love for this man. I'm not the only one with this problem: my sister shares this feeling. You know how it is: when there are two people, the circle goes round and round and never stops.

There is this one more video I want to share with all of you. Let it be a graceful way to finish this post :) (suffice to say, I had a heart attack when I had seen it for the first time)
